Each user that opted into the program received a free ringtone or wallpaper in return, and were then kept abreast of developing news on hot-button election issues via text message. As Election Day grew closer, and users became more engaged in the election, text message alerts linked directly to additional information within the RTVMO mobile portal, seamlessly synchronizing the two program elements.
